Prescott Area Information

Welcome to the area information section for Prescott and the quad-city areas. When considering what home to buy, the community can be as important a consideration as the real estate itself. This section should help you learn more about our beautiful community and all it has to offer.
Prescott is centrally located in Arizona at an elevation of about 5300 ft.  We have a moderate climate and "four" seasons.  In my opinion it is never too hot or too cold.  Our winters are mild and the community usually looks forward to the occasional snow.  Why?  Because it never lasts!  It melts rather quickly so you always have the opportunity to enjoy the great outdoors.
Summers are warm and sunny with thunderstorms during the monsoon season.  And unlike the Phoenix area, our high desert summer nights cool down, giving you time to enjoy the beautiful evening sunsets.  Even during a hot day, you can find relief in the shade.
The Courthouse Square is the heart of the Prescott community.  Sitting in the center of the square  is the beautiful Yavapai County Courthouse.  This granite building dates back to the early 1900's.  Green grass and large shade trees surround the courthouse and plaza and this is where you can enjoy a variety of community events year round.  Art and music festivals are the norm in the summer months on the square.  Mother's Day usually marks the first art festival of the year and the events continue from there.
